(HED)P.E. Announces 'The D.I.Y Tour' With OPM, DIRTBALL And POTLUCK

June 7, 2008

Southern California's (HED)P.E. has announced the dates for its upcoming "The D.I.Y Tour" also featuring OPM, DIRTBALL and POTLUCK. The tour comes in support of the group's upcoming two-disc live album and DVD, "The DIY Guys", which is set for a July 8, 2008 release through Suburban Noize Records.

"The DIY ethic is the band's lifeblood and without it we could not exist in 2008," says frontman Jared Gomes. "This tour is another great example of how we've embraced our independence. The band feels it has a purpose and is empowered to actually do something that makes a difference, not just some useless piece of pop junk. Come out, smoke with us and get in the pit."

(HED)P.E.'s explosive live show was caught on tape for the release of the group's first live album and DVD release. The live CD portion was captured at Hollywood's legendary Key Club where the band performed a mixture of classic (HED)P.E. tracks as well as new fan favorites from their latest studio album "Insomnia", along with three unreleased tracks that are unavailable anywhere else. The DVD includes 13 live tracks as well as music videos, behind the scenes footage, interviews and punk-rockumentary film clips from the band's decade-long tour history.

"The D.I.Y ethic is the band's lifeblood and without it we could not exist in 2008," says frontman Jared Gomes. "It means not waiting for people to do everything for you. We don't wait for anyone whether it's artwork or recording or anything in between. We are never too proud to do it ourselves."
